Each year art, culture, technology, past and future converge in the present in over 3,000 events across Ireland without any cost and for all kind of audiences.
Culture Night is an annual all-island public event where artist and cultural organizations take the streets to celebrate culture and arts in over 1,300 venues. This year, it will take place on friday 16th september 2016.
In Dublin, you can begin visiting heritage and public buildings, galleries and museums for free, like Guinness StoreHouse, Áras an Uachtaráin (official residence of the President of Ireland), The Old Library & the Book of Kells (at Trinity College), Dublin Castle, National Gallery of Art, St. Patrick´s Cathedral, Dublinia, among others.
At night you can´t miss outdoors projections, performances and concerts like Heathers, Little Green Cars, Lisa O´Neill or enjoy different activities at Smithfield Square Playground.
Culture Night is not only to see, it is also to take part in performance, workshops, tours, talk or interact with the art. It should be noted that all events are free of charge, but remember that some venues require advance booking.
